It took me longer to get this site wrapped up than I anticipated, but it's done now.

The following adjustments have been made to earlier entries:

  • Added an entry for Oct. 28 for our visit to Qasr Quran

  • Added some photos to a few of the last week's entries

  • Added a couple of photos to the Sept. 29 entry because I just realized I never put them there as promised

  • Added an entry for Oct. 22 for a look at the local corner store where we went most days for a soda or two and watched village life

  • Added an entry for Oct. 19 to show some photos of our trip to the local artsy pottery

Here's a photo I couldn't fit anywhere else. It's one of the little taxi trucks that frequent the roads here-abouts. As you can see, the passengers don't exactly have seatbelts for their rooftops seats. No wonder Egypt has one of the worst traffic fatality records in the world. These little trucks often go quite fast even down roads full of potholes, farm equipment, and animals.

Overall, I would say that this experience has been a truly worthwhile endeavour. Many thanks, again, to my supporting cast.

I'll now end with a traditional sunset photo, which really was taken on the last night at basecamp. The official website will -- no doubt -- be updated as the project progresses.
