The frightening consequences of electroshock therapy

I'm a middle aged government attorney living in a rural section of the northeast U.S. I'm unmarried and come from a very large family. When not preoccupied with family and my job, I read enormous amounts, toy with evolutionary theory, and scratch various parts on my body.

This journal is filled with an enormous number of half-truths and outright lies, including this sentence.

Miscellaneous weekend stuff

I visited with my father yesterday. We had a nice chat and I gave him a shirt. He is of southern Italian ancestery (my mother is Irish) and is very dark skinned. Contrasted with his now white hair, his skin seems that much darker, and it made me recall how I used to think he was actually black when I was a child. He seems to be holding up physically much better than my mother. He works outside in his garden a lot, and drives around the countryside.

Not surprisingly, my daughter has not called me today. It still bothers me though.

Today I am off on another hike. I'm going to try wearing some arch supports in my boots. My father was turned down for military service because he was flatfooted, and my daughter wears orthodotic supports, so maybe I need something like that too.

I think I am going to have to work harder at this weight loss thing. I've only lost three pounds so far, and at this rate the summer will be over before I can go skydiving.

I've also been bleaching my teeth. Too much coffee over the years has left them slightly yellow. The bleaching seems to work fairly well. I have to wear these teeth covers with a bleach mixture for an hour every day. It's not painful or anything. I think it'll take about another week before it is finished.

This week I have a date set up for Thursday. Perhaps I am prejudging things, but I have a feeling that this person and I are too different. Of course, you never know.

Oh well, better run. It's sunny and in the upper sixties. Perfect weather for a nice hike.
