We've switched doctors.

Yesterday, A. saw his new pediatric ENT doctor, and I am in love. Dr. B is this little, gentle, Hispanic man who obviously loves working with children. Our beloved pediatrician an hour away in former-town recommended him because he only works on children and he does surgery in a hospital and not an outpatient surgical center.

Dr. B thinks that A. needs his adnoids out, but also needs to have his left ear drained because there is a lot of fluid and the tests show that A. may not be hearing out of his left ear. "Good," I say, knowing we had the surgery scheduled with the other doctor for next Monday. "When can we do it?"

7:00 am Thursday morning!

We have to be there at 5:30 am, so that means we have to leave no later than 4:25 am. Starbucks in our little town is not even open then.

Pray that A. won't freak out, that W. and I won't freak out, that the IV's and such can be put in, that the surgery goes well. You know, basically that the stars align and all is right. Thanks.
