We're home, and I just rescued Elmo

We are home from the hospital and other than the fact that A. is wheezing, we're having to suction him, pump him full of antibiotics and steroids and give him major breathing treatments, everything is fine! I swear, now that he's doing better he's the "wellest" sick kid I know.

Thanks for all your prayers!!!! They have helped immensely.

I can tell things are getting back to normal because he is now getting into EVERYTHING! He was so good in the hospital with the limited number of toys he had (they basically quarantine kids with RSV because it is so contagious - no going to the play room or even walking out in the hall. You can bring toys into the room but being hooked up to an IV really limits things.)

Anyway, I heard giggling from the bathroom and the toilet lid going up and down, and I walked in to find him sticking his Elmo toothbrush into the toilet then putting it in his mouth. I swear, it will be a miracle if he makes it to 18! Now he'll be getting another Elmo toothbrush from Santa (he has a stand-in that he'll use for the rest of the week). Only hope in this small town they have Elmo toothbrushes or we're in trouble.

I'm ok - read this great thing from a book ReverendMother gave me that I'll ponder on later when I don't hear crashing from the next room.

What did the doctor say? He'll recuperate better at home? I almost liked him tethered to an IV - it kept him out of trouble!
