The Installation

It was great! It was a gift. The university choir teamed up with First Pres. choir and they did an amazing job, everyone came prepared, it was moving, it was touching, it was holy, and now I'm so freakin' tired I don't know what to do with myself.

I told W. just a minute ago that even though it is physical, it is more emotional/spiritual. I hit the ground running after the holiday and haven't stopped to breathe, and it only gets busier as the weeks go on. I'm taking 5 students now to the seminary to a vocation retreat this weekend, and even though A. will stay with his "Nini" and D.B., it won't be a break.

I'm actually looking forward to jury duty on Wednesday.

As for students, I was with one on Friday morning for three hours that had a bit of a "break with reality" (literally); had a student get life-flighted to hospital in a bigger city this weekend because she had a fever, her blood pressure was through the roof, and she was dilating 7 and a half weeks before her due date. (They did a c-section on her yesterday because her blood pressure sky-rocketed and she has a history of seizures - the baby is a boy and weighs 3 lbs. and 14 oz.)

We have all these cases going before judicial tonight because lots of students smoking/selling pot, and, oh, by the way, one of them is in the sorority that I advise and another is an intern for one of our ministry groups.

I sent two students to lead a youth retreat this weekend and got one report that said that C. may have had alcohol on his breath. C. is trying to stay sober.

W. leaves this week to begin working again (WhooHoo!) but I'm wondering just how the hell I'm going to do all of this.

I wonder if I'm ever going to get past the prayer, "God! Help!!!"
