Favorite fall dessert: It's all about the pumpkin!
Holiday: Thanksgiving. No presents, no fancy decorations, no goofy costumes, no cards. What's not to like?
Best fall memory: Birth of WG (October 1990)
Worst fall memory: I know I'm supposed to say 9/11/01, so I'll just go with that for now.
Most puzzling fall memory: Why are there next to no leaves on the ground? (NorCal, 1998)
Best thing about fall walks: crunch, crunch, crunch (leaves)
Favorite fall chore: Filling up the grocery cart for T-giving.
Least favorite fall chore: Dealing with leaves in any non-raking-them-into-a-pile-solely-for-jumping way
Best change in the home: Fire in the fireplace.
Favorite flower: Hmmm...mums I guess.
Best tree in the fall: Deciduous.
Fall ritual: Closet switch-over.
Most frustrating thing about fall: It turns into winter, every dang year.
Favorite childhood game: Swing Out Over The Holler, Let Go Of the Rope, Jump Into The Leaves Without Breaking Your Neck. Hey, I was a simple kid.
Favorite childhood memory: T-P'ing
Favorite decorations: Your basic carved pumpkin with candle.
Favorite clothing: Jeans and my Packers Superbowl sweatshirt. Some dreams never die.
Best scenery: The Kettle Moraine scenic drive
Best fall travel tip: Chicago traffic on the Wed. before T-giving is a b**ch. Leave on Tuesday.
Favorite drink: cider. Or wine. Or cider with wine.
Best method of transportation: My nice high MPG car. Somethings never change.
Traditional fall candy: Just a few pieces of candy corn, eaten color by color. But stop before puking--that's the challenge.
Favorite Sound: My family around the T-giving table. Are you sensing a theme here?
Best for fall sex: Me and OEH. Flat surface (or not). What else do I need?
Fall song: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. Good old Reformation Sunday.
Reliable prediction: I will bust a gut on T-giving.
Best fall television show: The SNL with the song "Basted in Blood"
