I have to admit, I was especially effervescent with my wishing the people the Peace today. I made a special effort to reach out to the nabobs of negativity, to smile at them, look them warmly in the eye, and simply say, "The Peace of Christ to you." I'm evil that way.

We had a lovely service today. The twin girls whose adoption I witnessed (See Aug.22) were baptized today. We processed the elements of the Eucharist during a hymn, cause, you know, it's *never* been done that way before; (see how evil I am) and the people seemed to be able to handle it, to trust that bread and juice actually would be on the table when the time came to share it. We even used breads from different cultures, and did communion by intinction, it being World Communion Sunday and all. People dealt. I was proud of them for that.

I'm glad that I am all warm and glowy from this morning. It will make it easier to come back on Thursday.

I will be tech-free the next four days or so. Don't have too much fun without me.
