So I've been reading a bunch of Clarion journals on-line, and I have kept a journal of mine forever, so now I am inflicting it on all those unsuspecting people who may unwittingly stumble across it.

Why? Because I'm evil. Well, okay, I'm not really, but it sounded better than I was bored and trying to avoid doing...well anything particularly productive. Plus, it is a good way to keep my mind off the growing obsession that is Clarion.

For those who don't know, and who may mildly care, Clarion is a six week writing workshop for science fiction and fantasy type writers. It takes place in either East Lansing, MI (East) or Seattle, WA (West). I've recently applied to both and am desperately waiting for my rejections. Nevermind that the application deadline isn't until April. Heck, Clarion West's voice mail is still spouting information from last year.

So, I'm obsessive. At least I have a hobby.

Actually I'm a lot of things.

Unfortunately, I think sane dropped off the list around about the time I decided I wanted to be a professional writer. No big loss, and the lack doesn't seem to bother my husband (a semi-rational software engineer) so I'm not worried.

Hmm...I have a graduate presentation I have to give before my Medieval British Lit class tomorrow. I suppose I should work on that.

Then again that would be being productive and we can't have that. Hrm...dilemmas.

Maybe I'll just take a nap instead.
