Rodent Ramblings You Don't Want to Ask. Really. 51666 Curiosities served |
2002-11-25 8:10 PM Loud Fuzzies, Real Estate Agents, and Word Counts Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Content Read/Post Comments (0) I wrote over 1200 total yesterday. 419 on the story I had been stuck on and 849 on a silly little story I have been writing to cheer up a friend.
Okay, so the silly story isn't going anywhere, and I should have focused on the other one, but still that was a lot of words for me and I am quite happy with my productivity. In less thrilling news, my ferrets decided they wanted out of the cage at seven am this morning. So they made a ton of noise. Now, I am not a morning person--9:30 is my prefered rising time--so this less than thrilled me. I bravely tried to get up though since both Brian and Nancy were awake. Now I see where he gets that tendency to be an insufferable morning person. It didn't last long. I ambled downstairs, said maybe four sentences, not one of which I think was coherent, and retreated back to the bedroom for a couple more hours of sleep after taking all the ferrets noise-making apparati (is that the proper plural?) away. As I was slowly ascending to consciousness for the second time, I heard the phone ring. Apparently it was the real estate agent for Nancy. She is intending to move back to the Rochester area (I'm in Brockport--this is NY), and asked if I wanted to go look at some houses with her. House hunting being a favorite and rare joy of mine, I, of course, agreed immediately. Which means I will probably miss class tomorrow. Well, maybe not. Still, I really want to be there for Nancy since she could use the support right now, so class be damned if need be. I have my priorities. ************************************************ A little over 300 more words on this story. It is getting easier. Either that or having a stimulating writer in the house is good for me. Either way, looking to have another two to three hundred done this night between dinner, cards (we played Euchre again--Nancy won), and class. ************************************************ More Euchre followed by Scrabble. I won the former and Nancy won the latter. My husband is going around with a puppy dog look saying "I'm a loser" since he hasn't won a single game. Poor dear. Of course, he did gloat everytime he euchred me, so maybe it serves him right. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
