Today was one of those rare and wonderful days when everything in a story just comes together. I sat down to work on the dread revisions to the story I have been frustrated on, the one I stared at for an hour yesterday and did nothing to, and suddenly it was two hours later and I was brought back to reality by the phone ringing. It was absolutely incredible. Even better I was able to pick it up again after the interruption. I ended up expanding scenes, shifting the plot, and rewriting the whole damn thing. It went from an anemic little 1000 word story to three times that size, and I think it is much stronger now. It still needs work, but I definitely feel the story now, and I think it's going to be really, really good once its cleaned up a bit more. Woo Hoo!!!!

And this is in spite of the fact that my mouth is killing me from a dentist visit.

The rest of the day was pretty good too. I talked to my mom last night which helped take the edge off the desperate need to see her. That always gets worse the closer it comes to the time to visit. How weird is that?

Then Brian took me to Subway ergo saving me from having to cook. He followed this act of sainthood up by watching a decent movie with me.

And the icing was that our vet was kind enough to send little Christmas presents for our pets, which I thought was incredibly nice.

I love that the writing all came together today, but more incredibly life seemed to come together. Well, except for a bit of bureaucratic paperwork, but hey, you can't have it all. That'd be boring.

Finished PROBABILITY SPACE. That's one book off the winter reading list. And I recommend this book, which means the trilogy actually. This last one though is by far the best of the three. The last eleven chapters flew and the ending is phenomenal.
