So, I have officially proven beyond all doubts that I am incredibly strange. How? I joined an on-line writers workshop where manuscripts are submitted and critiqued by members. Not too strange for a writer, right? I joined because I
LIKE critiquing other peoples' work. And it isn't just because I learn a lot for my own writing through doing it, though that is a plus. I just genuinely enjoy the process of reading, analyzing, and then putting into words my impressions and advice. It's fun.

I'm pretty sure everyone that knows me thinks I'm nuts, but now a whole new group of people can learn that fact.

Other than that I had a remarkibly stress-free and slightly brainless day with Brian. We watched old ST:TNG episodes in preparation of seeing Nemesis. The movie, in case you were wondering, is remarkibly bad, but fun to watch and worth the four dollars we spent (matinee).

In more important news, Brian and I played Scrabble-- AND I WON!!!! This is the first time that ever happened. Never mind that I got all of the major letters (j, x, q, and z), three letter s's, and a blank, and still only won by a single point. The crucial bit is that I did, indeed, win. Woo Hoo!

Really that was about all for today. I wrote and submitted two not terribly long critiques to the workshop (500 and 700 words or so) and started THE EINSTEIN INTERSECTION. I am only about fifteen pages in and I can already tell that book is going to be something of a surrealist thrill ride. I'm loving it.

And with that note, I'm off to get some writing done. Maybe.
*************************************************

No writing got done, but I did write three more critiques. All were 500 or more words except for the last which I sent on accident before I was done. It ended up being just over 300. I considered finishing it and resubmitting, but the system is automated and I wasn't sure if that would cause problems. Besides, I had said the important stuff already so it wasn't a big deal.

It is now very, very late (or very, very early depending on your view) so I am going to bed.

Night, all!
