I know I haven't updated this in awhile, but things were a bit hectic over the holidays. The trip to Plattsburgh went fairly well. I got an adorable Eeyore shirt from my Aunt Bev. and made a tape of some good music. My sister found a new boyfriend, my mom and I got to talk finally, and Mindy seems to be recovering quite well from a recent break-up.

Then we left Plattsburgh at 6:30 am on Christmas day. By 9:30 we had passed Albany and met the huge winter storm that had been predicted. It never quite became a white-out, but it was bad, and it seemed the thruway authority was uninterested in plowing over the holidays. Near exit 46 westbound it got worse. We went into a skid and ended up off the road. No one was hurt, and the car wasn't even damages in the slightest, but it was annoying because we had to wait an hour and a half to get out with the help of nice Mr. Tow Truck.

Around sixish pm we arrived in Buffalo. We were just going to go home, but the weather cleared up as we got towards Brockport, and we continued on. Of course, we caught up to the storm that had moved ahead of us while we were stuck in snow and mud. Sigh...

Buffalo was nice, but sometimes I feel like there are just too many people in Brian's family. There was even one more than usualy this year as Kate brought her boyfriend Mike. He was hilarious and he and Kate are tremendously well suited to each other.

Last night we got to come home, and due to all the snow almost couldn't get in the driveway. I have to shovel that. After I clean the whole house that three cats had the time to trash while we were gone. Brian's dad and step mom are coming for dinner tonight.

With that, I am going to release the barely contained panic (I just found out this was the plan about ten minutes ago) and clean. A lot.
