So, Pat is foot tapping for an entry. I really hadn't realized it been so long since I wrote.

Things going on here are sort of up and down. Brian and I are going to Worldcon (up). I hate most of my classes (down). My latest story being critiqued in my writers' group have been very positive (up). I've had no time to write, heck, I'm barely keeping up with the school work (down). I finally have a working version of Word on my computer (UP). I can't seem to find a job (DOWN). You get the point.

I have one class that I really want to drop: Women and Film. It's basically a feminist theory class which is what I was assured it WOULDN'T be. I'm having flashbacks to Wells. Sigh. But, I need to finish this degree. I'll stick with it I guess.

There's been no word from Clarion. I know it's still very early and that I shouldn't expect to hear until April, but the waiting is tough. At least they haven't said no, right?

Vicki and I will probably go out for coffee tonight. I'm looking forward to that.

Well, I hope this tides Pat over. I have ferrets to deal with.

I just got back from taking two of the ferrets, Tempest and Whisper, to the vets. The news is not good. They aren't responding to their medication as well as the vet had hoped. She wanted them to gain .1 pound at least and Tempest gained nothing. Whisper lost .1 pound. Now we are having a full ferret panel done on them Monday. This is not good. It looks like Whisper especially is degenerating. If we can't get her to put on weight she may have to have exploratory surgery.

I'm just sick over all of this.
