Rodent Ramblings You Don't Want to Ask. Really. 52099 Curiosities served |
2003-04-21 8:17 AM Back from Beyond Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Sleepy Read/Post Comments (0) Well, we're back from the wedding. It was nice, even if all of the driving was starting to make me ill. It's strange; I never got car sickness as a child. It didn't start until I was about twenty. Now, though if I don't eat before long trips I get really dizzy and nauseated, not to mention developing a skull-splitting migraine.
Oddly, I already remember next to nothing about the wedding other than annoying djs. Which isn't to say it wasn't nice. It was. It's just that we've been to a huge number of weddings in the last two years (including ours) and they have begun to just blend together. It was nice to see Pat too. He's a really great guy. And he's pretty good at Puzzle Fighter. Plus, as an added bonus, a bunch of people that Brian went to school with, and we're pretty good friends with, stopped by. So we got to see everyone. Pretty nifty. So, on the way home we discovered a spider in our car. This was a treat since I'm horribly arachnaphobic and Brian kept getting distracted by it while driving. We watched that spider for a good fourty minutes, Brian saying I should squish it, and I refusing. I may be terrified of the things, but that wasn't a reason for it to die. I mean, I'm a good Gaian. I do my best not to kill anything. Which is great except I also was having trouble getting close enough to it to capture it without screaming like a startled toddler. Brian was not amused, especially since this distracted him further from his driving. Eventually Brian pulled over into a rest stop. Brian made an effort (for my sake) to capture the spider and kick it out of the car. Unfourtunately, this didn't work so well and the spider ended up accidently squished. Poor spider. Still, I imagine we would have sounded hilarious had anyone heard us. Now I'm trying to work on a huge amount of homework I need to finish up. Joy. I really need to plan my time better as the stuff just keeps piling up. So, I should go do it. Bye, all! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
