So, today was a stressful day on top of another stressful day. Both because of presentations. I hate doing presentations. I talk to fast, I get nervous, and no matter how much time I spend I'm never prepared enough.

I may want to rethink college professor as my day job. Hmm....

Anyway, I was a wreck and I had a lot of housework to do (still have some--primarily the ferret cage--oh goodie) so I decided to start with my laundry.

Now, our ferrets are, well ferrets. They like to steal stuff, they hide everything, they're generally annoying and cute and loveable all at once. While stealing my socks, bras, wallet, husband....Okay maybe not that last one. I think he goes voluntarily, though they do steal his shirts. However, they are also four years old, which is entering senior age for them so they're a bit slower than they once were. At least usually.

Not today. Today both the boys were romping madly while I was trying to put my laundry away. My primarily socks and undergarments laundry. Every time I turned around Kiki had a different sock and Vinnie had a bra. Now I don't have a ton of those to begin with so I swear some of them were once I hadn't seen in months. It was amazing.

And then I got mad and tried to snatch a particular sock from Kiki. What did he do? He ate it. I'm serious.

Generally we give him our discarded socks. I guess he's realized this and really wanted that one sock because when I tried to take it away he locked his jaws and removed a hunk of cloth.

Sigh....needless to say he won that battle. In fact, I was so worried he was going to choke or something, like get a blockage, that I was ready to take him to the vet. So what does he do?

He spits out the hunk of cloth. Right on my foot. I think these guys have me entirely too well trained.

Anyway, it's nice to be able to relax a bit. With the wedding and getting things arranged for Clarion, like getting allt he paperwork in, not to mention school, things have been hectic.

Tonight I'm playing Nikki's D and D game which should be nice. Tomorrow is my game and racquetball. I've missed racquetball. I had to miss two sessions to go to the wedding.

So, by Thursday I should be semi-human again. I hope. If not there's always the weekend.
