Rodent Ramblings You Don't Want to Ask. Really. 52324 Curiosities served |
2003-06-03 9:28 AM Clarion Dreams Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Irritated (but only my eyes) Read/Post Comments (0) So, I had my very first Clarion dream last night, and I'm not even sure if it counts. It didn't start as a Clarion dream. I was in high school changing schools when I found the stuff I shipped to Clarion piled on the bed. Now note this room was pretty much a mop closet; there wasn't enough room for the bed, much less all the stuff waiting to be unpacked on top of it. However, the really unnerving bit was that everything was there except my carry-on which has my laptop and printer in it. Yep, I'm nervous. But, who can blame me?
In other news, I napped osn the futon in the livingroom last night which was apparently a mistake. The nap helped with the headache I had, but this morning my eyes are all red and scrathcy from the cat dander. For those who don't know this, I am mildly allergic to the cats. It's something called chronic allergic conjunctivitis, which means it's an allergy localized to my eyes. Which further means that I wake up with irritated eyes or, on a really bad day, so much sleep gunk (caused my the eyes trying to clean themselves out and overreacting thanks to the allergy)in my eyes that I can barely even open them. Still, I love the cats so I take my eyedrops and deal with it. Oh, yesterday I received one of the Howard Waldrop books I ordered. It's THEM BONES and seems quite interesting so far. However, my copy of SKINFOLK by Nalo Hopkinson vanished. I swear the cosmos just doesn't want me to finish this reading. Anyway, I'm hoping the book will show up again, but if not I'm going to have to try reading BROWN GIRL IN THE RING, which was shipped to Clarion already, before Nalo teaches. Incidentally, the two books I haven't read are by the instructors for the first two weeks. The first two I finished were for the instructors for the last two weeks. Yep, couldn't have done that more badly if I planned it. Obviously, there was no planning of any kind involved in this process. Well, I'm off to read some more. Bye, all!
