Okay. I haven't written here in quite a bit. In fact, I wasn't really sure I was going to continue writing in it at all.

Obviously, I made that decision.

The last couple of months have been weird, and I'm not entirely sure I could do justice to it all, so I'm going to hit the high spots.

My mom bought a really nice little house which has made her and my sister much, much happier. They also got a dog, this tiny little pekinese and chiuahuah mix. It's cute as sin and hyper as a three year old in a pixie stick factory.

My mother-in-law also got a small dog, a toy puddle puppy. It's adorable, dumb as a rock, and likes to bark at anything. Including our cats--incessantly--for the few days we pet sat.

Between these two beasts I've developed a mild dislike for small dogs. They're cute and I'll pet them on the street, but I never want to own one. Which isn't a bad thing, really. I've always liked big dogs better, and even going that route I don't think I'm cut out to be a dog owner. I like low maintanence pets.

Speaking of pets, we had a pretty bad scare with one of our ferrets. They thought he had a fairly advanced form of lymphoma. Fortunately, it turned out that he just had a thickening of the medea steinum (and I'm pretty sure I butcher the spelling of that) and a small insulinoma, which is what Tempest and Whisper also have. It's easy to treat and certainly not as serious.

Because he was feeling left out our fourth and final ferret decided to have an allergic reaction to his vaccinations. Sigh.... Still not a major deal.

The cats are fine. Seaeti has been incredibly affectionate ever since we got her shaved. Her fur was massively matted, and I presume incredibly uncomfortable.

I'm working on my thesis and it's...going. It's kind of gotten away from me and I'm having a heck of a time pulling it all together now, but I'm sure I'll manage.

Finally, my friends Kyle and Nikki moved to Ohio. It was a rather sudden move and took everyone by surprise. Hopefully, I'll manage to keep in touch with them. If nothing else, we've agreed to meet for Worldcon so that's a plus.

Anyway, bye for now all!
