A lot of y'all will know how excited I must be when I tell you I just got the news that the incomparable Ms. Ellen Datlow, editor of Sci Fiction, has just written me with the fun news that she's taking my story "The Voluntary State."

I wrote that one for last summer's Sycamore Hill workshop, and the good people who critiqued it for me there have my deepest thanks for the many improvements their suggestions brought to the story (and for their willingness to read a 13,000+ word story overnight).
