2008-05-06 10:49 PM Wow, so I've been away for a while... So, it would appear that college consumes a fair bit of time... or at least the events and people surrounding college. I've finished up my first year with a rather disappointing cumulative 3.205 GPA (first semester was a doozie, I got an improved but still low 3.3443 this semester). I figure that I've made it through Physics 205, mechanics, and Physics 208, electrics, supposedly the two biggest weed out courses in all of Engineering.
So things look up now. I have a solid summer internship working for A-T Solutions (cool company, look them up sometime!), I'm on a 5-year masters track in Industrial and Systems Engineering, I've outlined a minor in International Studies, a study abroad experience to South Korea, summer sessions, and a great deal more. But I realized something when I sat down in a coffee shop last Friday, done with exams and just one paper to write. I realized, as I sat there writing, how much I missed the opportunity to just sit down and write for myself, with no expectations, no time limits, no formulas, no grades, just me and my own comfort. So now I'm coming back, and do I ever plan to keep on writing again. Like music, it's a part of my life now, and I just have to write, it helps me so much (only my writing is a pile of poop compared to my music, no matter, it still serves a wonderful purpose). By the way... I've become quite the avid dancer, primarily popping (youtube the name "nam hyun joon" and watch...), and this summer I'm going to try and put on ten or fifteen pounds and start break dance too... quite an interesting prospect o.O Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
