So, my flight boarded fine, left on time, and then did a 360 degree turn around and headed toward Texas. We were being rerouted because of the storms. The rerouting cost us an hour and meant we had to stop in Utah for more fuel which cost us another two hours. So, my six hour flight took nine hours. I got home at 2:00 a.m., and it was still easier than any trip I've had with the kids.

It did mean the hand off didn't happen like John and I had planned. I figured he'd been on for four days, I better do 110% for awhile. Except, I thought I was going to faint from fatigue and Rose stayed home from school with a bad sore throat. Luckily, John didn't have to teach. He stayed home too and gave me two naps. Thanks honey.

I thought I was up-to-date. I called home several times a day, checked email a couple times, but I came home and the bear had a diaper on. No one told me that story. The car track was in a new configuration. David seemed to be speaking in even more complete and fascinating sentences, and John moved up the training wheels on Rose's bike. So much to catch up on.
