repair shop

The Batmobile needs fixing. Drive it into the repair shop (shoe box), and we'll check it out. Undercarriage looks good. Wheels ok. Let's check the fabulous amazing front hooking device, in good shape. Repeat for the helicopter, old fashioned tractor, and three race cars.

Princess and the Pea

In this board game, the goal is to get as many beds under your princess as possible to prove how delicate she is. I like that it's all based on luck and that there are many opportunities to get beds. David wants all the blue beds.

trains

This is a great game. I just have to set up some track and then can sit next to David and read Eating Well while he tells the story and drives the trains. Since I have no spatial relations and David wants a bridge, I build the bridge to nowhere, and David sends the cars hurtling into the abyss. We both think this is very funny.

Batman does the laundry

First Batman tries to jump in the washer, and I confiscate him. Then the Batmobile very laboriously uses its fabulous amazing front hooking device to pick up the clothes and drop them in.

Groovy girls

We are visiting the neighbor down the street who has masses of toys different than ours and she lets David play with. David flies the Groovy girls to me on his flying bicycle, and I make them whine and throw temper tantrums. I enjoy this game.

learn your letters and colors

We are doing the activities in what was supposed be an amuse you on the airplane book. We get the number stickers, the animal stickers. David colors all the flowers blue. (I am lying on the couch, and he is coloring on top of me.) Then he needs me to read a page.

Mommy: What's the right color for an elephant? Red, Gray, or Blue?
David: Blue

Mommy: What's the right color for a lion ? Red, Gold, or Blue?
David: Blue

Mommy: What's the right color for a frog? Red, Green, or Blue?
David: Blue
