My friend, Alle Hall, just won the Richard Hugo House New Works Competition. Yeah, Alle!

She will be reading her essay, "My 70s Avatar," on Friday, March 20, 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall in Seattle.

Alle and I were in a writing group together. One of the essays I saw went on to be published in the top creative non-fiction journal in the country, Creative Non-Fiction (catchy title, eh?).
