Sandy and Chama came to town. Aren't we the luckiest? They are capable of having an adult conversation, constantly interrupted by children blowing on quackers, and not blinking an eye. They don't mind watching shows with hula solos and the puppet master making the ballerina perform. They read story after story.

Sandy, Chama, Mom, and I even went out and had an adult evening. My friend Kate's bar, Pillager's Pub, opened that night just down the street. Almost none of us drink, but I had a total "I'm with the band" experience hanging with Kate. Then on our walk home, we discovered the Greenwood art walk. I couldn't believe it. We went into some basement industrial space and discovered big exciting photos. I thought like I'd been transported to New York or somewhere hip and cool. I love Mommyville. I'm very comfortable in Mommyville, but it's nice to sneak a peak at how other folks live.
