the tooth fairy has some explaining to do

Rose's second tooth fell out Friday. She'd be happy to give you the blow by blow--she took a bite of apple, she felt it on her tongue, she knew it was her tooth, etc. I agree, a very big and important moment.

If you'll recall last time Rose woke two hours early all atwitter about the tooth fairy. Well, this time, she couldn't fall asleep. At 9:45 while John and I were brushing out teeth and turning out lights, she was still buzzing with excitement. I think she was finally asleep a little after ten. Doesn't the tooth fairy have some knock out drops or something? Doesn't the tooth fairy know what happens to Rose when she's another two hours short on sleep?

So, as John and I were furiously rushing around the house cleaning, getting ready for our dance class party, Rose was picking fights with David. At one point, I had to send her to her room for an attitude adjustment. Luckily, the party had so many adults to faun over her and teach her broken finger tricks that she was in control most of the rest of the day. Still, next loose tooth, I want the tooth fairy to calm that girl down.
