If you've never heard of Battlestar Galactica or are partway through and hate spoilers, stop reading now. Really, I've got a lot to discuss and I don't plan to catch anybody up or speak in oblique references about that thing that happened and how freaky it was. I'm completely hooked on BSG, and I am mourning it's end.

John and I started watching a couple episodes a week (sound familiar Jed?). We were rarely disappointed. Sometimes we were absolutely stunned, like the whole New Caprica city plot line or Tigh a Cylon, or Ellen?!!

But since we just saw the last episode, let's discuss that:

I love how they check in with all the departments before they go into battle. That was a nice good-bye.

I love how the opera house vision finally plays itself out. It stays true to the vision while completely taking my dread about Six and Baltar stealing the baby and making it ok.

I had completely forgotten about Torie killing Callie. So much so, that I didn't even know why she was so worried about them all revealing their secrets to each other. I love how far back the authors planted seeds that came to fruition here.

Why does Cavil kill himself?

What's up with Kara Thrace? Does she love Sam? Lee? Both? Neither? What is she? Did anyone else notice how often her tattoos of wings showed up in the last few episodes? I know they signify her flying status, but I thought that was some good foreshadowing.

And talking about Kara, what does it mean to be remembered if no one knows who or what you are?

What is an angel? I'm having real trouble seeing the manipulative, jealous, sex crazed Six we met in the mini series turn out to be an angel. I mean she has said all the time that God has a plan, have faith, etc. But she's such a bitch.

Gaius never got redeemed for me. He was a cynical, manipulative, narcissist from day one, and his big "I see angels" speech didn't redeem him for me.

I found the end very lonely. So many of them go off by themselves.

I love how this means we are all Cylon human hybrids.
