I had a big crash of guilt. I'm a stay-at-home mom. I'm supposed to be home for the sick kid. It's hard to feel guilty though when she and grandma had such a lovely morning together. Rose is not super sick. She has a low grade fever, some aches and pains, a drippy nose. Enough to make her lethargic but not enough for serious misery. She and grandma did some knitting and read together.

This afternoon was harder. She was tossing and turning on the couch, and David wanted to go to the library. I ended up rattling around the house all afternoon and did not get the bathroom cleaned or the muffins made.
