So, we went on this group camping trip and Nola had brought her bike. Our group camping site had a big grassy field in the middle of it, and all the kids wanted to take turns riding the bike around the field. Including David. So, he got on and rode the bike.

He did not learn to ride the bike with lots of false starts and pushes and falls. He got on and rode. Ok, we did get him started a couple times, but really he was ready and steady. It was very very exciting.

So, we came home and took the training wheels off his bike. Yesterday was the block party where we close off the street and the kids ride their bikes up and down. David's control improved dramatically in just that hour.

I've been putting off getting a bike until this day. It's time.
