David's music concert

David is shy. David does not like large crowds or lots of noise. Unlike, his mother and sister, David does not crave the limelight. So, it's a miracle he even agreed to participate in the elementary school vocal music concert.

Not that we gave him a choice. But he did move from insisting he wasn't going to saying of course he was going, it was his concert after all. The kids were supposed to wear all black. We managed to get him into all black but he refused to take off his sweatshirt, his blue sweatshirt with green dinosaurs. He walked around the stage with his class, but while they swayed their arms and danced, he kept his hands firmly in his pockets. I asked him later if he even sang, and he said, yes. Ok, it was a singing concert after all.

Other than being nervous about David, I had a great time at the concert. The kids were charming. I love how some of them just disappear into the music and groove out. I love how they change from K to 3rd. I remember when I couldn't imagine having a child too old for this performance, but there was Rose watching with me. She had a great time too.
