Three days ago David told me not to give him a Scooby snack (you don't want to know: random fruit chew, just go with that) because he was saving the last one to give to his friend Miles when Miles came over for a playdate today. David proudly gave it to Miles; Miles sweetly said thank you. I stood in awe of the courtesy and thoughtfulness of two six-year-old boys. They then proceeded to shoot each other for the rest of the afternoon.

I told David his t.v. time was over. He turned off the t.v. and pleasantly told me he had paused the game. This is in stark contrast to this morning where, after three warnings, I turned the t.v. off for him, and he threw a fit.

I made a beginner feel welcome and competent at dancing last night. I know what it's like to be the novice at a dance.

I got a poem accepted. Actually, I've gotten three accepted recently: Blue Mesa Review, Blood Orange Review, and 10x3plus. More details when they are in print. The fact that I've gotten several rejection letters recently only proves I'm sending out.

I was teaching kids to write poetry. One turned to another and said, "You have really good handwriting."

David asked Rose to make him a purse from her potholder weaving, and she did. Now, she is working on the strap. Recently, all I've been noticing is when Rose is unkind to David; it's important to notice the obverse.
