lithosphere--the earth's crust

olfactory epithelium--the membrane in your nose that lets you smell

basaltic, andesitic, and rhyolitic--all types of lava that have similar raw materials but differ by temperature and viscosity

struzstrom--a horizontal landslide that is capable of moving uphill

the ferromagnetism point of matter--the point at which matter becomes too hot to hold a magnetic charge, over 1,400 degrees Farenheit

lacrimal glands in the eyes--they produce tears

What have I been reading? I've been reading to David Leo Geo and his Miraculous Jouney Through the Center of the Earth . There are a bunch of made up words in the text as well, and I was really doubtful about struzstrom. It just sounds so funny I thought it was made up. I let most of the vocab flow over David. The pictures are really good. The only word I explained was stealth. I think that's a good one to know.
