fine. no problem. a little boring with all the putting away of tissue boxes and reviewing of rules.

David has Ms. Humphrey, a teacher we adore. We were worried that none of his best buds were in the class, and he emerged asking for a play date with R., a second tier friend from last year. I love that David is so good at making friends.

I asked if they had drawn anything in class, and David said (disdainfully): No, I'm not in kindergarten or pre-K. As John said, snap.

I hope the new P.E. teacher works out. No one could be as wonderful as Mr. Millsap. I hope he can handle the reduction in recess time. I hope he doesn't freak out when I teach the poetry unit. A good year, a year of peace.
