David has been taking a really fun after school class called, Cookies and Candy. By some amazing organizational effort, the teacher breaks down the cooking project into tasks for five groups, and in one hour (with a little help from parent volunteers), the kids produce delicious treats from around the world.

David is having a blast. They've made biscotti, Australian chocolate crinkles, Nanaimo bars, and many other sweet treats. I love how proud he is of himself for creating these foods. And, the teacher and I have ensured that they are all gluten free. I provide the flour, etc. and my kid with a difference gets to be just like everyone else.
