Thanksgiving day treasure hunt

We have a lot of Thanksgiving traditions. I go to jazzercise. We go for a walk in the arboretum. This year with over thirty people. We all assemble at Sheila and Mike's house where the kids do a pre-dinner craft project and the grown-up drink pomegranate martinis. There's a really good dinner with many gluten-free and vegetarian options, and somewhere in there the kids go on a treasure hunt.

This year the pre-dinner project was for the kids to design a treasure hunt for the grown-ups. They did a fantastic job. Really, I was in awe. Let's start with how good their handwriting is, and the clues were so pretty. The clues had three parts: find X, do something creative near X, and take a picture of yourself doing it. Our team had so much fun running around the house and thinking of creative things to do. Then we all got personalized prizes--mine was a little note thanking for me teaching Miriam how to dance.
