Rose's Hannukah Haiku

On the first night of Hannukah, Rose gave everyone handmade paper beads and a personalized Hannukah haiku.

For David:

Menorah is lit
candles sparkle in the night.
When is present time?


For Mommy and Daddy:

The candles glitter
careful, do not burn yourself
Uh-oh, worry time!


For Miriam:

Happy Hannukah!
Como panqueques papas
Oh wait, that's Spanish!

For Aunt Julia and Uncle Dan

At the big table,
we laugh at Hannukah jokes.
A rabbi walks in. . .

For Mommom:

Menorahs are lit.
Turkey is at the table.
Wait that was last year!

And she did have one for Ariana, but I don't seem to have it.
