Oh my goodness, did we watch a lot of movies over spring break.

War Games--We had to explain the context, the feeling that a nuclear war could happen any second. The kids found it pretty tense. I'm glad it held up.

Star Wars, The Force Awakens--We already saw when it came out, of course, but we realized it was playing at The Crest. This time I focused on the music and appreciated how it worked. We all liked the comic relief. (At the movie theater: David, put your book down and watch the movie.)

Star Trek--We've been working our way through all the Star Trek t.v. shows and movies, and I really wanted to show the kids this 2009 origin story about the characters. They had a lot of questions, but they liked it.

Star Trek Generations--This is the one with both Captain Kirk and Captain Picard. It's ok.

Chicken Little--Rose watched this in Spanish in Spanish class and got it for us in English. It was cute and funny.
