I've been wrangling a lot of balloons recently, not all successfully. First, I had balloons at my birthday party, but I had someone else pick them up. I just had to make all those hard decisions about color and number. Then, yesterday, I was the relay person for the Field Day balloons. One mom ordered, bought, and picked them up. She brought them to my house Tuesday night, and I delivered them to the field Wednesday. I know it doesn't sound like much but balloons are a bit of stress what with them blocking the rear view mirror and will they pop or float away on my watch. Today, I ordered the balloons, picked them up, and brought them to 5th grade graduation (I don't have a 5th grader. The 4th grade parents are in charge of cake and decorations, and I volunteered.) where my worst fears were realized, three balloons made their escape and headed to the ceiling of the cafeteria. Luckily, we have a very kind and innovative custodian who used a long pole to convince them to come down. I love balloons, but I may take a little break.
