No, She Didn't Deserve Those Lungs

I understand that ten year old minor, Sarah Murnaghan, she does not have the right to make a choice for herself whether she wants to live or die. I also agree that her parents are making the choice to delay their grief and what they know will happen (death). Her parents are being selfish because another person could have benefited long term with the lungs.

Like others have stated, she was NOT the best person to get these lungs and I say that as a person who is also ON a transplant list for a kidney. The sickest people are often NOT the best people to get an organ. "Cystic Fibrosis" is still going to kill her. Someone else could have gotten the lungs who has no other health issues.

This pair of lungs will become damaged by this disease just as her own lungs were. She is going to continue to need additional pairs of lungs throughout her life if she lives a long time.

So, what is better, her living a life with a fatal disease or dying and no longer suffering? I'd say the latter.
