Okay, so "swag" formerly was a term for "Secretly We Are Gay". Not offensive, right? Right. Until it turned into a hip hop trend that is all about hip-hop style, twerking like Miley Cyrus, and basically piercings and tattoos. Now don't get me wrong, I like to twerk like Miley Cyrus and some hip hop. But I don't like "swag" for many reasons.

1- It's degrading. I read a picture on "Facebook" that said "It's not rape if it's swag". I'm thinking "Um, okay" and thinking that photograph should be removed. And besides, treating women and men right is important than swag. Now to reason 2.

2- Nobody cares if you have swag if you're an adult looking for a job in the office, seeking approval from the boss. That's right, along with the nude and drinking photos that you have on "Facebook" along with the middle finger- swag makes you even LESS desirable to the workplace. Those tattoos? Definitely tacky, according to bosses. Now to reason 3.

3- Manners. Everyone likes to hear "Thank you" when they help out, or "You're welcome" when you are thanked for something, whether it's helping a friend or another person in your life. And opening the doors for people is good too, in case they have stuff which causes them to be unable to open the door. Courtesy is key. But I admit, I haven't mastered the "fork and knife" basics yet. And manners just overall impresses people. Makes you think you're well taught by your parents. Don't believe me? Ask anyone you know.
