Chillin' With My Mom (and my fiance too!)

Rob and I made a trip out to LAX today to pick my Mom up from the airport. She managed to take the only airline (Midwest Express) which had no information on any arrival screen. Rob ran up to the ticketing counter and asked about the flight - and they knew which flight he was asking about before he said the number. The one from Milwaukee. Hrm, I wonder if they have like one or two flights a day. I think they only come in from Milwaukee or something. Scary. But it was easier for her than going all the way to Chiacgo's airport. Her brother lives near the Milwaukee airport. The only airport near her is a dinky one out in Dubuque and I think only American has teeny puddle jumpers go out of there. Scary. She so lives in the boonies.

We brought her back to our place (traffic sucked - I hate the 405) and just hung out for awhile. We all went out to dinner at a nearby French restaurant called Vie De France. They have really great food and amazing teas. I love tea and they have my favorite there - something called Colonille. I've never been able to find it anywhere else.

After dinner we came back to our apartment and just hung around and watched TV. Rob and I introduced her to "Crank Yankers". She seemed to like it, but said she could never watch it back at her place because it's something that my Grandma would find offensive. My Grandma (her mother) lives with her and she takes care of her. So whatever is on the TV there is seen by both of them.

Well, I think that covers today. I'm going to log off and get to bed. I have to get up tomorrow because my Mom and I have an appointment down in Orange County with a woman who makes wedding gowns. I'll try to post daily or at least regularly on here, but while my Mom's out here I can't promise anything. I'll log on when I have the time.
