I was going to post last night, but my computer wouldn't load any web pages. Rob said he found out today that there was a problem with the entire internet last night. That's encouraging.

Anyhoo, yesterday was pretty cool. I went to Rob's hospital because that's where the priest that will be doing our wedding ceremony works. Rob took about an hour or so off from work and we met with the priest (David Walker) to go over the Liturgy. We made sure everything worked for us and that sort of thing. My one main issue was to not have any of the really misogynistic stuff in it. Like I don't want the whole "who gives this woman away" thing in there. Hell, I've been living on my own for over ten years now, if anyone is giving me away as their chattel it's Sydney. The meeting with the priest went well and during a lot of it I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot. I can't wait until the wedding.

The priest is way cool and seems like a very nice guy. He also prefers Macs to PCs so he and I were teasing Rob because Rob hates my iMac. When we left David's office I told Rob that because David is a priest he gets his commands directly from God and therefore God prefers Macs to PCs because Bill Gates is the devil. Rob gave me "the look" and snarled something at me.

After our meeting with David we headed back to the human resources department of the hospital so that Rob could finish up his work for the day. He did some work and I hung out in his office and got to meet his co-workers. Once he wrapped things up at the office we headed back to our area and made a stop at the mall in Sherman Oaks. While there I got a pair of panties for under my wedding dress and some lingerie for the honeymoon. We grabbed dinner at Georgio's after the mall (and while we were there we saw some famous old guy eating there - but neither of us could remember exactly who he was) and then headed home. We watched a little bit of TV and then passed out because both of us were exhausted.

Today we got up early and headed out to Montclair. I got my hair done (same color - just a root touch up and a color pull through) and then we went to see a film. We decided to see Darkness Falls because the preview for it made it seem pretty cool. Do not see this movie. It was HORRIBLE. Honestly this thing was one of the worst films I've seen in a long time. It's running time was a little over 60 minutes (the previews started at 5:25 and we got out of the theatre around 6:35) but it felt much longer. It was a huge piece of shit. The plot was lame, the special effects were pathetic (you could see the wires when the creature was flying around), the acting sucked (and the main kid had this annoying speech impediment), and it wasn't even thrilling or scary. It was a lot of things jumping out and going boo. It was lame and I want that hour of my life back.

After the movie we stopped at IHOP and bitched about the film. Then we headed home to relax a bit. It's been a hectic two days and we're both really tired. And tomorrow we have to get up early again because I need to head to Claudine's for a dress fitting. Busy weekend!

take the "what's my fault" quiz.
(and then browse around mewing.net. because laura is cool.)

I'm going to go and buy a Phantom of the Opera mask now and live underground with the CHUDS. Or just cry.
