Yesterday Rob and I slept in and spent the day around the house. At night we decided to head over to downtown Burbank to see a movie. Trying to find a place to park was a nightmare. The new lot was so full that it was closed off. Street parking was all filled up and the two old lots were almost filled up as well. Damn. What the hell was everyone doing at downtown Burbank on a Sunday night? I remember back when that place was usually pretty empty even on a Friday or a Saturday night. Then they re-built the movie theatre, added some new stores and some new restaurants, and the crowds came. Good for business. Bad for parking and going somewhere that's not as crowded as everywhere else in LA on a weekend night.

We left the house around 6pm. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get over to Burbank. We weren't parked until a little after 7pm. Once we finally found a spot in one of the old lots we headed over to the theatre and got tickets for the 7:55 showing of Monster. We had a little extra time before the movie started so we decided to grab some ice cream at Ben and Jerry's. Luckily, that place was not crowded. I guess Californian's have a thing about eating ice cream when it's in the low 60's out.

After the ice cream we headed over to the theatre. When we got in the theatre it wasn't very crowded, but by the time the movie started it was almost completely full. I'm very impressed that a lot of people would come out to see this film, especially since it's been out for over a month now. But, with all the hype that's going on about it I can understand why. After seeing the film both Rob and I understand where all the hype is coming from and are really hoping that Charlize Theron (yeah, I probably spelled that wrong) comes away with a Best Actress Oscar for her performance. It was an amazing movie. I *HIGHLY* reccomend it!

After the movie we headed out of Burbank and made a stop at the drug store on the way home for some necessary stuff. We then headed home and watched Adult Swim before going to bed.

Not much is going on today. Same old thing as most Mondays. I'm doing the clothing portion of the laundry and when I'm done on this journal entry I'll do some job hunting. Later on I'll probably play some Neopets.

Well, that's that for now. I don't have any major plans for this week so far except for a doctor's appointment on Thursday morning and trying to get a new cell phone sometime this week. I'll post again as soon as I have something interesting to say or report.
