I have a bit to catch up on, but it's late so I'll try to condense it and make it quick.

Yesterday the job hunting was pretty spotty because of my computer's on again / off again problem with not letting me click on any java based links. *grumble*. Job hunting for the week has been shit. Everyone wants applicants with experience. Not good for me. When Rob got home from work we headed over to the AT&T store. I finally got a new cell phone to replace my overheating 3 year old Nokia. I ended up getting a Motorola T721 and switching over to the Next Generation network (I was on Digital before). I also got a red face plate for it. So far, I'm really digging the phone. Rob decided to get a new phone as well. His was still working all right, but he had the same old Nokia as I did and figured it was time to upgrade. He got some funky cool Nokia where you can fold out a mini keyboard. It's very cool, but the Motorola is more my style. I use a phone for calls and the occasional text message. He's gonna use his for things like the web as well. If I want to access the web I'll use a computer, not a phone. Yes, I am a technological curmudgeon. After getting our new phones set up we came home, ordered in Chinese, and watched "The Apprentice". It's pretty cool. Kind of a Survivor: Manhattan thing.

Today I got up a bit earlier than usual and when I was done showering logged on for a bit. I hit the AT&T website and downloaded some kick ass polyphonic ring tones for my new phone. I got "Don't Close Your Eyes" (which is a song from Buffy), the theme to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and the theme to "Angel". The Angel one is my current ring. It is SO unbelivably cool. I watched "Passions" when I logged off and then Berek came over. He checked out the computer for me and we found out some interesting stuff. He doesn't think we have a Trojan on this computer. The wording when we get an attack (that someone is trying to access the computer through Backdoor/SubSeven Trojan Horse) leads him to believe that Norton knows of this virus, so it should be able to find it on the computer. Because NOTHING that we have run can find it he thinks that people are trying to connect with our computer and PUT the virus on there, or that it's a virus that was sent to me and never put on the computer but that other computers are trying to access through it. I hope he's right. We also found out that my very spotty access to java links is an Internet Explorer problem and not a problem with the computer. All the links worked fine on Netscape. I hate to use Netscape and so we're probably going to nuke this version of Internet Explorer down the road and download a new one. Hopefully, it's just a glitch in this browser. Hopefully.

Rob got home from work around normal time. He changed into street clothes and the three of us (Berek, Rob, and I) headed deep into the Valley to get Pita from work. Her dad didn't feel like picking her up (again) and so she was stuck there after closing with no way home. We headed up Ventura and grabbed her from work and dropped her off at home to change out of her scrubs and into some regular clothes. Then we headed off to a local strip mall. I ran into an AT&T Wireless store to pick up a car charger for my new cell phone and we grabbed dinner. Berek, Rob, and I grabbed foodies at Quizno's and Pita grabbed foodies at Panda Express. We munched and then headed back to my corner of the Valley. We stopped off at the Boba Bar to have some boba drinks and then made a quick stop at our place so that I could use the bathroom and Rob and I could grab some jackets (it was getting rather chilly out).

We left our place close to 10pm and headed to the Nuart theatre to see a midnight showing of Clerks. Or, at least we tried to. We got to the theatre around 10:30pm. The line was LONG and the show had sold out an hour and a half before we got there. So much for that. SUCKAGE!!! The four of us ended up heading over to Bryce and Julia's to meet up with them and Carrie for awhile. We had some booze, played a Disney trivia game, watched the South Park Movie and then headed out around when Pita started passing out. I think with all of the stress and exhaustion she's experiencing right now the alchy hit her HARD. Berek drove Rob and I home and headed back to his place with his sleepy sweetie.

I'm not tired yet so I decided to come on and post. Rob's passed out on the couch.

vampire
Powerful. You're a scary son of a bitch. Chances
are, you'd rule over all other vampires in your
vicinity, and probably some humans as well.
You're hard to kill, because you keep your
weaknesses and strengths secret. Bathing in
blood is a regular past-time. You're ruthless
and indestructable.

What SORT of Vampire would you be?
