I know I haven't posted in a while, but last weekend (and the beginning of this week) just haven't been conductive time wise (or health wise) to posting.

Saturday I was on line and did have the time to post, but I didn't have anything to post about. I had already posted all of Friday's events and Saturday nothing super interesting happened. Rob and I decided to stay around the house since we knew that Sunday and Monday were going to be pretty busy days.

Sunday we got together with Berek and Pita and headed over to the Promenade in Santa Monica. Carrie met up with us there. The five of us had a very good time. We walked around, looked in shops, bought a few things, and just had fun being silly around each other. We saw some kittens from a shelter and as much as I want another kitty I finally admitted to Rob and to myself that three cats would probably land me in the hospital. My allergy medication can barely handle two as it is. Some of the more notable stores that we hit were Sephora (Carrie, Pita, and I all got lip gloss and Rob bought me some "Key Lime Pie" shower gel) and Puzzle Zoo (where Rob bought me an evil looking Steiff panda bear as my anniversary present and where Berek and I got some D&D miniatures).

After some shopping it was time for foodage. We went to the Broadway Deli and had some decent food with not so wonderful service. I was brave and tried an Ostrich Burger. Yum. My digestive system can't handle beef all that well, but apparently it can handle ostrich just fine (and it tasted exactly like beef). We all split a monsterour nine inch eclair for dessert.

After dinner we went to some more stores. Most notibly, was a book store at the end of the Promenade (not sure which kind of book store it was though). While Berek and Rob looked at gaming books, Pita, Carrie, and I hit the Starbucks for some drinks. We had some girl talk and then the boys came back and hung out with us. After the book store it was getting late and so we walked Carrie back to where her car was parked and then headed to Berek's car. Berek dropped Rob and I off at home and Rob and I watched some TV and then got some sleep.

Monday was our one year anniversary. Wow. We've been married for one year. It really doesn't seem that long ago. I can't fathom how it was a year ago - it seriously seems like only a few months have passed. Rob got the day off of work and we had plans to go to Disneyland. If it wasn't our anniversary, there is no way I would have gone there. It was insanely hot outside. Apparently Anaheim was in the high 90's for a good part of the day and was one of the hottest places in the US that day. Just our luck.

We got up at 7:30am, showered, got ready, and headed out to Disneyland. Both parks opened at 10am and we were able to get there a little bit after opening. Traffic kind of sucked on the way down there. We decided to hit California Adventure first. We went on "Soaring Over California" which is a kick ass glider simulation. It was also air conditioned in the building and it was nice to be out of the heat for a little bit. After the ride we ate at a nearby inside food place. When we were done eating we really didn't want to venture out into the heat again, but we did so. I made the comment of "I can smell people cooking" and Rob nearly lost it laughing. I was serious. It smelled like hot cooking people. Really not a pleasant smell. We decided to head out of California Adventure and head into Disneyland. One thing I noticed was that both parks were rather crowded for a Monday. It wasn't nearly as crowded as the last time we were there (Valentine's Day on a Saturday), but it was just as crowded as most Sundays that we go with Berek and Pita.

Once inside of Disneyland we grabbed a few bottles of water. We then hopped on the train and took it to New Orleans Square. We grabbed a fast pass for the Haunted Mansion and waited in line for Pirates. We then figured out a system where we would take breaks and keep getting fast passes so we didn't have to worry about lines anymore. We grabbed a fast pass for Winnie the Pooh and had some mint julips at a little cafe. We then used our fast pass for the Haunted Mansion and got another fast pass for Pirates. We went on Winnie the Pooh with our fast pass (which was my first time on the ride - very cute but very short) and got another fast pass for the Haunted Mansion. Used our fast pass for Pirates and then our fast pass for the Haunted Mansion. Amazingly enough, we only went on Pirates and the Haunted Mansion twice. After those rides we headed over to the Tiki Room and saw the show. Wow. It was horrifying. Then we meandered over to the Blue Bayou (where we had reservations) for our anniversary dinner. We were able to get a table by the water (yay!) and had prime rib for dinner. It was a very yummy meal, but by the time we were finished we both thought that meat would be coming out of our pores just like how play doh comes out of the heads of the hair cutting play doh dolls.

After dinner we took the train over to the Toon Town stop and walked over to Fantasy Land. While there we did Alice, Mr. Toad, and Peter Pan. At the end of those rides it was nearing 8pm (which is when the park was closing) so we headed out of the park and into Downtown Disney. Rob made a run into the huge Disney store while I sat down for a bit (the heat of the day had really effected me and I wasn't feeling too good - but on the bright side I managed to keep heat stroke at bay) and got some tins of tea. We then headed to Sephora where I found the lip gloss that Pita has been looking for, so I picked a tube of it up for her. After Sephora we headed to the tram and went back to my car. The drive home was pretty quick and when we got home we watched a bit of TV and then passed out.

All in all it was a great one year anniversary. The only bad thing about it was the heat, but since we knew that I have a problem with heat stroke we tried to keep to the shade and kept ourselves well hydrated.

Tuesday Rob went to work as usual. I was going to do the laundry and stuff around the house, but I couldn't get out of bed. I woke up with a horrible migraine that I just couldn't shake. Migraine Ice did nothing for me and my migraine pills didn't work either. Every time I moved I thought I was going to throw up. So, I spent the day in bed. By the time Rob got home from work I had managed to nurse it down from a migraine to a very bad headache. I still had a touch of the nausia and dizzyness though. We decided to order in food from Jerry's because just a plain turkey sandwich sounded really good to my upset tummy. We ordered a turkey sandwich (just meat, cheese, and bread - and specified NO VEGGIES). That's not what I received. They got Rob's order right, but managed to put this weird carrot/celery/lettuce/onion mix in with the turkey. I took one bite and almost threw up. Rob called to tell them they messed up our order and their excuse is that sometimes the chefs there try to be creative with things. Well, thanks to them I felt more nausious than before and wasn't able to have any dinner. We spent the night watching TV and then Rob started getting a head ache, so we both called it a night and went to sleep.

This morning Rob's headache was gone and he was fine going into work. My headache was also gone so I've been spending the day doing household chores and laundry. I also spent a good portion of time on the phone with a friend who has been having a lot of problems recently (and just found out that a close friend of hers killed herself last night). She's not in a good way so we talked for about an hour and a half.

Well, Rob is on his way home and I haven't even had the time to shower yet. I wanted to get this entry done because I had a lot to catch up on. So, now it's time to wrap things up and get my ass in the shower. I have a feeling that my laundry chores will last me the next few days. We're really backed up and there are a ton of loads. Oh well.
