Friday night was D&D. We ordered in Chinese food from Chin Chin's (which made me a bit ill later in the night - I think I'll be skipping on the Chin Chin's for a while), were silly, socialized, and (of course) gamed. Fun was had and Pita's character got a mind fuck mid-game (it's best not to make friends with the chosen of Bahamut if you're following Tiamat and getting powers from her).

Saturday Rob and I slept in and decided to head to The Game Zone in the afternoon. We ended up getting a bunch of things. I got a Cthulhu puppet, some D&D miniatures, and a plushie "Deep One" to add to my elder god / plushie Lovecraft collection. For those of you that know the Cthulhu mythos, it looks like Father Dagon. For those of you that don't, it vaguely resembles the creature from the black lagoon. A fish man looking thing. Rob ended up getting a new D&D book called "The Complete Divine", some D&D miniatures, and some erasible markers for our map sheet. After the game store we headed back home (after a quick Jamba Juice stop) and chilled out around the house.

Sunday we had to get up early (7am) so that we could get ready and be at Shannon's place a bit before 9am. We arrived at Shannon's apartment complex around 8:45am and the guard made us sit in a temporary spot because the spot that Shannon had reserved for us was still taken by some ass from New Jersey. The guard said that the car would be moved by 9am because that's when the prior person lost the spot and Shannon got it. So, Rob and I chilled out in my car until 9am. Around 9am, Shannon and Al got back from breakfast and saw that the spot she reserved for me was still taken. Shannon spent the next half hour on and off the phone with security and talking to various security personnel. None of them wanted to give me a different spot - though they did offer to tow the car, but that would take a few hours. We had wanted to leave her place around 9am. That was so not happening. Around 9:30am, Shannon was able to convince the retards at security to just switch my damn reserved spot. They did, I was able to park, and the four of us made a quick stop in Shannon's apartment so that she could change clothes and so that Al and I could use the bathroom. Shannon has a very large and very cool (they even let her paint the walls) apartment. Once we were done there the four of us hopped into Shannon's car and headed out to San Bernardino for the Ren Faire.

Once we got there (around 11am), we realized that we had picked a great day to come on. There was plenty of cloud cover and the temps were low. We got our tickets and headed in. We were able to walk around the entire Faire and see just about every shop in there. We didn't end up seeing any shows, but Rob and Al did play a good number of games. Rob and Al gave it a go at a javelin throwing game (unfortunately Rob forgot that javelin throwing + bersitis makes for a very uncomfortable shoulder later on). Al did a test your strength game (and came about two inches from hitting the bell), an axe throwing game, an archery game, and a game where you shoot tennis balls out of a cannon and try to hit people. We had some really yummy food for lunch (Rob and I got turkey legs - mmmmmmm, turkey legs) and tried strawberry infused raisins (soooo addictive) for a snack. Shannon got some sausage on a stick thing and was actually asked by a random guy there if he could watch her eat it. I believe Al got a huge ass chunk of bread and a yummy looking artichoke. As the day went on the sun did come out and things got a bit warm, but not warm enough to mess with my body. Unfortunately, I did inhale a good amount of dust and I was coughing up soot for the rest of the day. Luckily, it didn't mess with my asthma. Rob and I ended up getting a few things at the Faire. He purchased a tapestry for over the couch (kind of a tie-dyed thing with celtic knotwork and a dragon on it) and bought me an orange and black leather rose (so cool). I got a tapestry for over the bed (a brownish celtic dragon thing). We ended up leaving the Faire around 3pm. I'm glad we left when we did because my back was hurting, I was getting a bit sunburnt on my face, and I was starting to feel very grimy being covered in Ren Faire dirt.

Shannon took us all back to her place and dropped Rob and I off at my car. We said goodbyes and Rob and I headed back home. Once he and I got home the first thing we did was hop in the shower. We both felt a lot better after getting clean. We then decided to take a nap because I hadn't gotten *any* sleep at all on Saturday night. Every time I would start falling asleep my reflux would act up. So, by this time I was dead tired. We napped until about 9pm and then ordered in food from Timmy Nolan's. We ate, watched the news and Adult Swim, and then went to bed.

Today I'm doing laundry and other random crap. I slept in a bit because my body still needed the sleep. I'm not feeling 100% today either. My body aches from walking around all day at the Faire and I'm a bit headachy and dizzy as well. I think I might have gotten too much sun yesterday. Rob thinks I might have sun poisoning because I also have a bit of a rash on my hands. Either way, if it's just from the sun I should be feeling better soon. Tomorrow is a girlie day with Shannon and hopefully I'll be able to stay out of the sun for most of the day.
