Happy and sleepy and still headachy from my concussion.

Shannon mentioned something today when we were driving back from Valencia that made me feel a lot better about where I am right now. She knows people who went to really good law schools, and they still don't have attorney jobs. Knowing that, I feel like a lot less of a loser for still not having a job. Hell, it's not like I'm not trying my damnedest.

D&D was cancelled tonight due to some of the players being ill, so Rob and I decided to go out and celebrate our four year anniversary. December 10, 2000 was the day Rob and I started dating. I know, we're married and shouldn't be celebrating dating anniversaries any more, but why not? They're important to me as well. Being with Rob for four years is a very cool thing in my book.

When Rob got home from work I gave him the anniversary presents I picked up for him today while at Brookstone. I got him a new really cool wallet, and some "Temperpedic" slippers. He seemed to like them. We then headed out to La Fondue for dinner. Dinner was amazing as always, except the waiter seemed to bug the hell out of Rob (I'm thinking this might be something he actually posts about). The waiter paid attention to me and only me. He only looked at me and pretty much ignored the hell out of Rob. When the cheese fondue came out he speared a piece of bread, put it in the cheese, and gave it to me. He just left the for lying there for Rob to do on his own. During desert he speared a marshmallow for me, put it in the chocolate fondue, noticed there wasn't a lot of chocolate on it so he re-dipped it, and then handed it to me. He pretty much threw the fork at Rob. And then when the cookies and whipped cream came he put the whipped cream on my plate, dipped a cookie in the chocolate, and put that on my plate for me. He left the whipped cream and cookies next to me and didn't even put them in between Rob and I. He also winked at me when I got up to go to the bathroom. Pretty much, the waiter spent the entire time at our table flirting with me and ignoring Rob. Now, those of you that know Rob probably know he's not a jealous person at all. This is the first time in my life I have ever seen him bothered by a guy giving me attention (of course, guys don't normally give me attention). He was seriously upset about this. And he kept muttering under his breath that he wanted to stab the waiter in the eye with a fork. To be honest, the whole thing was kind of cool. It's nice to know someone finds me attractive and it's refreshing to see that Rob can actually get upset if someone is hard core hitting on me. Plus, it was funny as hell. After leaving the restaurant I told Rob that I thought maybe he was just being nice to the ugly girl? Rob said no way, he was definitely flirting with me. It's so weird, I really can't see why he would even want to.

After dinner we headed to The Game Zone in Pasadena. I got a D&D book (The Book of Vile Darkness - I'm wearing through Rob's), two boxes of Aberrations D&D miniatures, and some grey and black dice for Rob. He got two boxes of minis and a magazine. On the way home we stopped at Starbucks and then headed home. Now we're just messing around on the business center computers. I really like DSL and we might upgrade to it on our home computer sometime in the beginning of the new year.
