It's Been Two Years Already?

Happily married to Rob!

I can't believe it's been two years already. I've been married for two years. Wow. In case you don't alreay know, today is my two year wedding anniversary. Woot!

Yesterday maintanance came up to take a look at our garbage disposal. Last weekend we called them to let them know that a horrible smell was coming out of it and stinking up our whole apartment. We used Plink and lemons and all that stuff, and it did nothing. So, they completely replaced our garbage disposal. When the guy was done he told me the noise should be better now. What? Noise?? Huh??? Our complaint was written down as the disposal being too noisy. Um... no. I told him it was because of the smell. He said the disposal itself would have nothing to do with the smell - that would be things stuck in the pipes AGAIN (remember the rotting food and maggot ball from before?) and that maintanance didn't work on the pipes. Great. And this is a place we're paying $2250 for.

Another problem arose today as well, just not an apartment related one. Coming up in April is an awards banquet at Rob's hospital. Rob needs to be there because he's getting something for having worked at the hosptial for five years. Unfortunately, I don't know if I can go. Well, I CAN go, but I'd spend the night being surrounded by people having dinner and me not being able to eat a thing. The main dish is shellfish (which I am deathly allergic to). The vegetatian dish has things in it which mess with my stomach and I don't like. So, if I go I won't be able to eat anything (which for someone who is anemic and hypoglycemic is not a good thing) at all. I would like to be there for Rob, but considering the situation I might just tell him to go on his own. It's not going to be any fun to go to a dinner and not be able to eat anything that's there. Bleh.
