Nice And Lazy Weekend

new baby

This weekend was a very lazy one. Rob was exhausted from the strains he's been having at work and pregnancy is making me tired. We spent most of Saturday around the house and only went out to have dinner at Buca Di Beppo (while I can no longer eat their pasta or pizza I've found I can eat their salad and side meat dishes). When we came home after dinner we played Three Dragon Ante until the wee hours of the morning.

Sunday was a lot of the same. Just chilling around the house and heading out for dinner. Though instead of eating locally, we headed out to The Rainforest Cafe in Ontario. They seem to be a decent place to eat under my new food restrictions. I ended up getting a turkey salad wrap and they were able to replace the chips/fries with fruit when I said I couldn't eat either of them. Very cool. In their gift shop we picked up a red eyed tree frog outfit for Gabriel, some fish ornaments for when we put our Xmas tree up, and a little something for my Mom. We then made a stop at Coffee Bean (sugar free Ice Blended's do not suck) and headed back to our area. We did some grocery shopping and then headed home to watch some Adult Swim before heading to bed. Mmmmm, "Perfect Hair Forever" is now a series on there. That is too cool. It's such the trippy show.

Sydney seems to be getting a bit better. He can now jump up onto low things, but still seems to have a problem with high things like the bed and bathroom sink. He tries, but winces. We're about 99% sure he got some sort of injury when he and Amber were fighting on Saturday morning. Rob said Sydney was fine earlier in the morning and neither of us noticed a problem until after the cat fight. I'm keeping an eye on him and as long as he's making progress letting it heal on it's own. If it doesn't keep healing I'll take him into the vet, though I'm not sure what they can do seeing as how it doesn't look to be a break since he's not limping around. He is walking kind of bow legged and putting a lot of his weight on his front legs, but he's walking on all four legs. Send good healing kitty wishes his way.
