Our original plans for today were to take Gabriel to see Santa in downtown Galena. He was going to be there today from 1-3pm. However, nasty weather made us decide to skip. It's been disgusting out all day. Switcing from rain to sleet to ice to snow and back. The roads are snowy, icy, and slushy. We didn't want to wait in a line outside to see Santa in this weather. We figured we can always take Gabriel to see Santa at a local mall down the road.

We also decided to skip going to Dubuque for anything today. We had considered the mall or the aquarium, but the roads were just too bad. So, we spent the day around the house. I have to say that even if we're not doing much of anything, I still love it out at my Mom's place. It's so relaxing. And I got to sleep in today as well which was great because I really needed the sleep.

We only headed out for dinner and my Mom drove very cautiously. We went to the Log Cabin. I love their fried shrimp. Gabriel was fantastic and slept through the entire dinner. It's rare for us to go out to eat and not have a screaming toddler to deal with. So, that worked out very well.

As of now, we're back at her house for the night. I'm just getting some stuff done on here, my Mom is watching TV, and Rob is downstairs laying down with Gabriel.
