Dinner With Mom

As you probably already noticed, I changed my journal around again. New colors, new dragon pic, new front page pic, and a new song bear. This time I picked "As The World Falls Down" by David Bowie (from Labyrinth).
Last night Rob and I grabbed some Chinese food for dinner (we found a place in Waukesha that's rated as the number 2 Chinese restaurant in America for the last five years). Great Chinese food! We'll be doing that place again down the road.
Today I got some sleep (mmmm, sleep) and then Rob, Gabriel, and I made a run over to see my Nana. I gave her a mother's day card from the three of us and got her a pair of tan Crocs. She loved them and unlike most shoes, they were wide enough for her and fit her perfectly. Right when we got there, my Mom was about to leave. Since we stopped by she stayed for awhile longer.
After we left my Nana's, we made a stop at Menard's (a hardware store). Out bedroom lamp's cord was frayed with broken wires and so we needed to replace it. We got a new lamp, this time not a halogen one, and are using the energy efficient bulbs in it. It's not nearly as bright as the halogen one, but that's fine because it's a bedroom lamp.
We then all came back home, Rob put the new lamp together, and my Mom and I got ready to head out to a nice Mother's Day dinner. Rob stayed with the Poopchuck (they ended up heading to McDonald's).
My Mom and I went to Jake's (I haven't been there since I was in my late teens) for dinner. Mmmmmm. Sooooo good! I had the escargot gruyere for an appitizer, the coquille st. jacques for dinner, and fresh fruit with cream for dessert.
My Mom and I then came home and Rob gave the Poopchuck a bath. We're now watching the season finale of Survivor. My Mom will be here until Tuesday, so right now I'm a happy girl.
