After the play referenced in yesterday's entry, I stopped at a place I’ve driven past many times – Cheeburger Cheeburger (yes, from the SNL recurring skit in which John Belushi played the cheeseburger Nazi. And there was no Coke. Only Pepsi.). Going into a restaurant that so unabashedly serves pure grease, carbs and enough trans fats to clog Old Faithful, made me think about putting a bag over my head. It’s almost as embarrassing to patronize a semi-fast food place as it is for smokers to smoke in public these days. Or to drink without having a designated driver. And on top of the shame factor, it turned out not to be worth the cost in either dollars or calories. Who knew that that much fat could be rendered tasteless.
